Campbell Motorsports NEWS Saturday,
August 28-- Super Late Model Racing in Regina and a beautifull
day to boot! Our day started with a scramble installing parts we couldn't
get till Saturday morning. Practise went well with a new set-up we put
in. A few minutes before time trials we discovered a broken shock/trailing
arm mount that would certainly have been disastrous if we had run. Ron
and Ken Bell, from Auto Repair Clinic. "raced" into town to
Ken"s shop to press and weld properly the part. They returned in
time, with a little lee-way from officials, for us to qualify, in 3rd,
the fastest of the crate engine cars. In the main event, we ran in third
for about 30 laps till the brakes failed and had to slow down till they
came back. We lost several positions as the brakes would come and go and
finished twelveth with a little, but only cosmetic damage this time around.
